Meet Tyler

A short subheading required

Originally from Dayton, Ohio, USA, my early years of life primarily reflected stereotypical middle-class America. While studying at Miami University, I spent a summer in Peru, and the experience changed my perspective on the world. While in Arequipa in 2003, I met my wife, Gretchen, who was originally from Boston.

Gretchen and I have lived in Peru, Ceuta (a Spanish enclave in Morocco), and Tunisia. We love to work cross-culturally and help expats adjust to life overseas. Personally, I really enjoy studying and teaching history.

I am certified as a debriefer with See Beyond and am working towards certification in coaching as well. Most of my work is in English and Arabic, but I always enjoy the opportunity to use Spanish when I can.

Gretchen and I have four children: Norah (13), Judson (11), Yaya (7), and Roman (5). We also have the least intimidating Doberman Pinscher in the world named Remus. Our favorite pastimes are board games and family movie nights.
